Project Title2016 CCU Youth Assembly
Academic ContextYou are a group of students interested in joining the Youth Assembly for global concerns. In this assembly, you are required to make a presentation followed by a roundtable discussion, to create a pamphlet, to produce a campaign introduction video, and to attend a campaign introduction to share ideas and distribute your pamphlets.
The goals for final project are to help learners toA. Explore and analyze global problems & concerns with explanations, causes/effects, advantages & disadvantages
B. Propose the plausible solutions to the global problems with arguments & multiple perspectives
C. Evaluate and summarize opinions towards these solutions with data or evidence
D. Call for concerns from younger generation to participate in global campaigns for these global issues
Project TitleWriter’s Workshop & Poster Presentation
Academic ContextYou are a group of students participating in a university-held writer’s workshop. In this workshop, you, as a group, have to do research and write paragraphs on social problems and their solutions. In the process, you need to document and present your writing process, especially on the points where group members have heated discussions about. You are also required to read other groups’ paragraphs and give feedback. As for the content about the problems and solutions, prepare a poster and do a poster presentation.
The goals of this final project are to help learners toA. Integrate all the learned writing skills and writing process in writing problem-solution paragraphs.
B. Explore and present social problems with paragraphs in appropriate rhetorical patterns
C. Propose and present solutions with paragraphs in appropriate rhetorical patterns
D. Evaluate and give feedback about paragraph writings
Project Title2016 CCU Symposium & Poster Presentation
Academic ContextYou are a group of students participating in a Symposium for Cutting-edge Topics for university or graduate school students. You will be joined by two other students from different disciplines to discuss the same cutting-edge topic. On the symposium day, each of you will be given time to present ideas in your own discipline, and after all three of you have presented, you will discuss and make a conclusion or recommendation about this cutting-edge topic. In addition, you are required to do a poster presentation after the symposium presentation to invite questions and comments.
The goals of this final project are to help learners toA. Integrate all the learned listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in researching and presenting an interdisciplinary cutting-edge topic
B. Explore and analyze a cutting-edge topic from the point of view of different disciplines
C. Work collaboratively to make a conclusion or recommendation on the cutting-edge topics
