OBJECTIVES
工作坊目標

語言技能的習得不僅需靠著授課瞭解概念與內涵,更需要透過學以致用以檢視學習成果,本工作坊目的即在提供連續三小時「即學即用」的機會,讓工作坊參與者能夠透過每週一小時的講解及練習,可增進學術英文之兩大重要技能、且應用該技巧之機會。
因此,本學期之工作坊以兩大學術英文技巧「學術聽力」及「英文重述的寫作技巧:從字詞、句型、到段落的改寫」為主,幫助同學從學習者的角度,設計每週進行一小時、連續三週之實作課程(short courses)

本校全體學生(學士班、碩士班、博士班)皆可報名參加)

備註

每一系列課程為期3週、每週各1小時之課程,需連續參加該系列3小時課程者,可計入5小時之應外英外語學程之自學時數。
工作坊提供之講義、學習單等學習資料,費用皆由由教育部資訊及科技教育司「多元文化語境計畫」經費支應。

  1. 1. 有效增進學術演講內容
    Efficiently comprehend an oral lecture or a listening comprehension passage in academic fields.
  2. 2. 聆聽學術演講時能區辨相關與不相關內容、主題與重要主旨、能寫下重要關鍵字
    Distinguish relevant from irrelevant information, identify the topic and main ideas of an academic lecture, & take notes.
  3. 3. 熟悉學術英文筆記技巧
    Demonstrate note-taking skills for academic contexts including keywords, outlines, symbols, abbreviations, and editing for notes.
  4. 4. 充分了解學術演講之結構順序、風格與演講重點之架構形式
    Understand lecture structure, style and sequencing and how lecturers develop main ideas, and use supporting details.

  1. 1. 學術寫作引用他人文字時,能理解重要關鍵字,進一步區辨改寫是否與原意相同或不相同,且比較其中差異
    Efficiently demonstrate the understanding of the source and distinguish the sentences which keep the original meaning from the ones which do not, while paraphrasing.
  2. 2. 有效增進學術寫作改寫中的改變用字之改寫技巧
    Efficiently enhance the skills of word choice for paraphrasing or using others’ ideas.

  5. 5. 能理解學術寫作改寫的重要性及如何避免文字嫖竊
    Effectively understand how to avoid plagiarism by changing words, word order or grammar appropriately in paraphrasing skills.

By the end of the 3-hour session, participants will be able to…

  1. -Understand the source and know the difference between the source and the paraphrased text.
  2. -Learn to rewrite by changing words for paraphrasing.
  3. -Learn to rewrite by changing the word order for paraphrasing.
  4. -Learn to rewrite by changing grammar or sentence patterns for paraphrasing.
  5. -Understand how to avoid plagiarism by paraphrasing skills.
  6. -Understand the differences of quoting, summarizing, and paraphrasing in academic writing.

To Register: Please register and attend all 3 sessions in this 3-hour workshop.
For ALS course takers: The hours can count as SAL requirements. (Participants will earn 5 hours self-access learning if they come to the three-hour workshop on time.)

This workshop is a part of the “Language Competency and Cultural Diversity Cultivation Project” which is funded by Ministry of Education (MOE); thus there is no fee for participating in the workshop. All the expenses related to the instruction and practices in the workshop will be covered by this MOE project.
